Fort Meigs: Ohio's War of 1812 Battlefield's photostream

Fort Meigs is an original War of 1812 battlefield located just outside of Toledo, Ohio in Perrysburg. It is home to the largest reconstructed wooden-walled fort in America and hosts re-enactments and living history programs throughout the summer.

The fort was the scene of two major battles in 1813 which pitted U.S. forces against the British and their Indian allies. Fort Meigs was the turning point in the western theatre of war in favor of the American side.
