Originally from Kentucky, I moved to Japan with my wife and son, and now teach English conversation. I’ve lived in Japan now for about 9 years. I’ve only just got back into photography thanks to a good friend www.flickr.com/photos/fluidimage/ . My son is seven years old and is an aspiring children’s model. He has been accepted by several agencies, but we’re not sure we want him to do it!! Any way this is me a 33 year old former photographer, now an English conversation teacher in Japan.

FluidImage says:
"I was writing a testimonial for my good friend a while back when my computer crashed... Why so long to get around to writing it again you might say... Well, it is not an easy task, if you ask me. How do you write a testimonial for your friend without simply sounding like you are flattering them, or worse, underestimating them. I read many testimonials on Flickr that range from the purely sycophantic to the 'you're still not as good as me' type of offering.
Here is the straightforward lowdown on Foreign's work...
A professionally trained photographer, Foreign Imagery's adaptability is clear through the range of his work - be it location model shooting, landscapes or social documentary clicking. His portrait images, in particular, always capture my attention and imagination - from a girl fixing her make-up on a train to a moody-faced fashion victim - there is always something deeper in the image than a simple candid snap.
Capturing such images requires not only an alert and imaginative eye but also the dedication to be armed and ready to shoot at any time and, moreover to be bold enough to exercise that trigger finger.
Foreign's post production skills are slick and seamless - the result, no doubt, of both class learning and his countless hours of 'shopping in front of his computer screen. His technical advice and opinions have been invaluable t me on many occasions.
Always a pleasure stopping by, bro...
Take a ride through his stream and enjoy your journey.
