The Flycatcher’s Identity is about the search by a daughter for her Nigerian father who abandoned her and her mother and fled to his homeland during the era of the Civil Rights Movement. When she discovers that her father is living a wealthy existence in Lagos, she is determined to disguise herself as a maid to gain entry into his household and confront him. When she arrives in present day Lagos, during a locust plague she discovers not only that her father is married but his house of cards is about to topple on him and only her and her legal eagle fiance can save him from financial ruin and a political scandal. Original Highlife music score by Cameroon-Nigerian maestro Ladi “This Kind of Man” Kong throbs throughout the two-hour drama.
