It was my grandfather who inspired me to take pictures. It was a hobby of his and I really liked his pictures. Sadly I could not get a decent camera until about 5 years ago. I immediately got a Canon Powershot S5 digital camera. It was great to start with, but I wasn't enough. Plus, someone managed to break it.
Now I own a Nikon D80. Which is to me a big improvement. It feels more solid, and it gave me more envy to use the manual controls. I only have a default 18-135mm lens, but I wish to buy a Macro lens and an extra tele (zoom) lens. But.. currently I can't afford those :(
