When people ask me what type of photography I do, I reply:

I don't shoot people. (pause) With cameras. :D

What I mean is that I don't do portrait or posed photography, but pretty much anything else goes. I've tried landscapes, sports, nature, event, macro. I'll shoot anything that interests me. What I find I'm drawn to however is critters. Big or small, wild or tame, mammal or insect it doesn't matter - I'll shoot it with a camera.

I've loved taking photos since I was little but only recently got interested in taking my photography to the next level. I bought my Nikon D80 in July of 2007 and started taking classes in the fall. I guess you could say that now I am an addict. I have been completely digital since 2002 however.

I've been able to identify certain milestones that have really boosted my photography to a new level:

07-2007 - purchased Nikon D80
09-2007 - Took it out of "auto" mode into Aperture Priority Mode.
03-2008 - Started shooting in Raw/Attended the Nikon school where I finally got a good grasp of Exposure.
03-2009 - Started shooting in Manual Mode.
05-2009 - Getting more comfortable with off-camera lighting
09-2010 - Loving Lightroom 3
