This site is dedicated to the people of Flowerdale, a town that was destroyed in the Black Saturday Bushfires, 7 February, 2009.

Flowerdale was known as the forgotten town of Black Saturday, but as the community has taken direct action to build a new village to house homeless residents while the town is rebuilt , it is now seen as the town that can make things happen.

We hope to provide a path for other communities who are impacted by disasters in the future. We have found that the best way to heal is to work together to create our own future.
