Some people seem to think that flickr is some kind of free online gallery, where anyone can go and just take our pictures and use them as they see fit. It is not. If a picture is marked "All rights reserved" it means you have no right to take it, you have to ask permission first. Always.

I've been on Flickr since January 2007, and that's when I started taking pictures with a digital camera. For the moment I am very happy using point and shoots, whatever the snobs may say. (Am a little tired of comments like "nice to be from a point and shoot!" )

When I fist started taking pictures I didn't make any changes to the pictures on the computer, because I wanted to get to "know" the camera and learn how to use the different settings first. Now that I've had some experience I have started doing some tweaks here and there, mostly adjusting the white balance, light, contrast and that sort of thing. I'm always worried about overdoing it though, so I often try and compare the original so that the difference isn't too huge to how it came out of the camera.

My favourite subject is nature, in all its forms. Flowers, insects, landscapes the sea. I also like to take pictures of various historical places around the island where I live, I've always loved history and it's nice to show some of our heritage.

I really like making sets. ; )

( I don't wish to seem rude or ungrateful, but large and very glittery graphics posted on my pictures will be deleted). Oh and I don't want to join groups that demand that I tag my pictures with this and that, or are invite only. I don't see the point.
