For a long while, I was a software engineer. Then I went back and got a Master's in Economics to help bolster my political blogging credentials, hoping to change the world. After several stints working for Burning Man with DPW and a cross-country road trip, I've settled with my wife in Austin, Texas and am planning to be a stay-at-home full-time Dad.
I occasionally shot for SJSU's school paper, The Spartan Daily, and although I don't think photojournalism is my calling, I will probably keep it in my life somehow, as I love taking candid portrait shots.

I shoot in JPEG and using Google's Picasa for workflow and sometimes Photoshop Elements for any further work. I was pretty happy with CaptureOne for my RAW workflow back when I bothered with that.
