I've been a keen photographer all my life. I started making black & white enlargements over the bath using a biscuit tin as a light scource and a folding camera as the lens! My first camera was a Minolta SR1 when I was 11yrs. I then had other 35mm Minoltas until stopping for a few years as I no longer had a darkroom. The big revival came at last with SLR Digital cameras, first a Nikon D70, and now a D200 with some super lens. The freedom and quality of excellent digital cameras has arrived after a long wait !!!!!!!
My main interest these days is travel photography, mainly to the middle east by 4X4. I go alone avoiding hotels by camping, sleeping under the stars or with local people. That way I get to know the way of life and it is satisfying to make so many friends and get the chance of good photos at the same time.
