I'm a normal, modest and cheerful guy, I like to improve and to improve what's around me. I strive for excellence even if you wouldn't say so. I like details even if I'm quite pragmatic.

I work for an advertising agency as Software Engineer: my daily tasks can vary from bulding websites, programming and database management.

My favorite quote is from Gandhi: "You must be the change you wish to see in the world."

How I use flickr

Flickr is my favorite photography museum in the world.

Almost everyday I watch the best pictures on flickr by using Hive Mind and add the ones I like to my favorites. Then I download them (full size) with FlickrFaves. With Automatic Wallpaper Changer I have a new fresh desktop wallpaper every 30 minutes, which keeps my mind dreaming about all the beauty around. Have you ever thought to buy a Digital Frame, load it with nice pictures from flickr and put it in your office, or give it as gift? I really thank all the users that publish their beautiful shots on flickr.

That's why I decided to pick up the best shots of my collection and publish them on flickr. I hope that somebody else could enjoy the landscapes that I love.

About my photography

I had a Nikon Coolpix 4300 since 2003 and I bought a Nikon D40 in 2007.

I took more than 12'000 pictures between 2003 and 2008 (around 2'000 per year). Well, I like to take pictures but I was too lazy to learn "manual", that's why I consider myself still a newbie, even if sometimes I do some nice shots.

In November 2009 I bought a Nikon D90 and a lens 50mm 1.8d which I really enjoy to take portraits or shots where the light is poor. But even more, I enjoy to be flexible and to take landscapes with my NIKON AF-S VR II DX 18-200mm F/3.5-5.6G ED. 1 lenses for all scenarios.
