STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
My street photos are taken with compact digitals and sometimes my blackberry curve / bold. I occasionally use a Canon EOS 5D but its too intrusive and cumbersome and makes me a muggers target. My 35mm film camera is an EOS 3 which is the best camera I have ever owned. My favourite hold-in-the-hand camera is my Canon G10. I may buy a Canon s95 next time I at Heathrow airport.

I do not carry a briefcase or like to be seen with a bag of any sorts so the camera needs to be very small to fit inside my hand made suits. I use the ticket pocket and my current cameras are a Sony and a Canon. I had a couple of Olympus compacts, one was a Olympus u700 - great lens and quick, but they both broke down just as the warranty ended. Typical.



MY COMPACTS
My old Sony DSC-W300 takes excellent pictures. See my G20 riot pictures, I use manual mode, no flash and never bother zooming as I can always do that in photoshop given its impressive 13.6MP. Its very tough and I have dropped it many times. The downside is it's slow in processing the pictures and boot up too.

My other is a Canon IXUS 100 (Powershot) which is very fast to boot up and is good in low light. The problem is after 12 months use it is failing. Hence an S95. Yes the Lumix is better but it is too big.
