Generally, I never cared for photographs.

They're just a small window of reality. They don't capture the smells, the feelings, the humidity, the ringing in your ears, that sticking feeling on your left shoe, the sunburn on your shoulder, the warmth of your hair...well, basically everything!- except a little chunk of the visual field in front of you.

But since I watched a lot of TV as a kid, maybe that's what the TV was brainwashing me to think. Or not! But certainly after volunteering at a photographic museum I did appreciate that you can capture and save some interesting- sometimes fleeting and sometimes even imaginary- perspectives. Forget about using a camera to capture what your eye is seeing, use it to capture a different perspective or a different view than what your eye witnesses! The world according to our eyes is not absolute, so just have fun!
