About: Central Ohio based photographer, Weddings, portraits, events and product photography. Published in Popular Photography and JPG Magazine and have been a guest speaker for Focus Columbus a central ohio photographic group.

Founded the Photographer's Tech Resource Flickr group which now has over 4,000 members focused getting photographers to share technical information between each other. Also started the Flickr Meet Columbus group which allows over 750 Flickr users in central Ohio to really interact with each other in real life.

On Advice: - UPDATED Right now I am crazy busy with life with a new baby and a lot of photography going on, I'm barely on Flickr at this point, if you send me a Flickr message it's VERY unlikely I will respond, I'm lucky if I even upload to Flickr.

I get a good number of Flickr mails (something I don't check very often) with people asking me questions about what equipment to buy, ways to shoot something, or how something works. I love helping everyone out and giving advice but I don't always have the time to give one on one responses. For that reason I'd ask that you post your questions in the Photographer's Tech Resources group, I try to watch that group and respond to threads as time allows. If your specifically interested in my input and you haven't seen me reply to your thread in the group, send me a Flickr mail asking me to chime in...

On Being a Jerk: I am more than happy to try to help folks out, I love doing it actually. But if you leave annoying comments, etc. I might give you a blunt answer/comment in return or more than likely block you. I don't have nearly the time I used to on Flickr and tire quickly of idiots (which are very different from people who are just asking because they are trying to learn).

On Group Invites: Please do not add comments to my photos that include images and/or canned comments that indicate that I should join a group. It's cool if it's your thing, but it's just not my thing... doing so will likely get you blocked.

On Using an Image: If you want to use a photo for your blog or whatever or other non-profit or personal use please let me know in advance.(normally it's cool, I'm just always curious to know how my stuff is being used). If you are a business or want to use an image for a commercial purpose, you are not free to use any of my images and instead need to contact me to obtain a license, which is not free... Using an image for commercial purposes without a license will result in me getting my lawyers involved (something I have no problem doing)

Many of my images are licensed under creative commons (free to use if it's not for-profit, etc.), but some I hold as all rights reserved and ask that those copyrighed images not be used without my express permission.

On Gear/Equipment: I use a camera... they work remarkable well for taking photographs. While I can be geeky and gear is fun to play with, folks it's not the camera that makes a great photo... That said I have enough gear to kill a yak.
