"I've had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Tara at the NYC with MO meetup in April 2011. I was particularly fascinated by her passion, not just as a wife, but as a friend and as a person. I wish I were as genuinely passionate and as inherently good.

Also, Tara is an amazing person to be around when you're not feeling well too, but hopefully next time that won't be the case. =)"

"I have rapped about rockets with Snoop Dogg, hosted a WWE Raw wrestling match, stolen scenes from Tina Fey on 30 Rock and done the Cha-cha-cha on Dancing With the Stars. (I know - how ghey!) I tweet and have my own iphone app. I am the hippest guy in any room. Oh and did I mention, I walked on the fucking moon.

But my accomplishments pale in comparison to Feeling Me Up Croppy's body of work. I should have taken her to the moon and dumped that Neil Armstrong fellow. Useless tit. I am truly honored that this fine young lady would desire a testimonial from me and I am more than happy to give her her wish. She is an extremely talented photographer. I only wish she had some photos of the fucking moon."

"It's amazing how you can become fast friends with someone over the course of one day. When I met Tara, I'd only seen her work tangentially on Flickr. Afterwards, I came back and in the course of exploring her photostream, I found a wealth of funny and creative work that I wish I had known about sooner. Tara's comical take on her subjects is one of the best things on Flickr."

I for one, am proud to be called a friend of Tara's and her photo stream."

But the beautiful FC saved me from a life sentence of crustyness, and put me in the gentle cycle of her washing machine ( which incendentally had "Jakes_World, Steph & FWOT were here" inscribed on it ) with extra fabric softener ! Now I am living out my days tucked in her panty drawer at night & playing with Floppy during the day."

"I looked through Tara's photostream a couple months ago, and I was impressed. In fact, I was touched. Really. I just looked through her photos again, and - perhaps my memory is playing tricks on me, but - a lot of those pictures are gone. Anyway, I remember. Even with what remains, she has a lot of pictures that are meaningful, and worth a real look. A lot of her commentary is worth reading, too, such as what she wrote with the Peter Gabriel song pictures. Talented, witty, and beautiful - and it all comes through in her pictures, Go see, for yourself."

    "Tara is teh HAWT!

Wait...this is supposed to be about her photography? OK. Tara has a rare ability to see and capture the subtle greatness in the everyday things that most of us ignore. There's a quality to her work that goes beyond the technical nature of light and exposure...which is good since she uses Canon. Blech.

As to Tara as a person...I have met quite a few flickr 'friends' in real life, but never have I felt so warmly received...like I knew her for years. She understands the true meaning of friendship. I have no doubt that Tara would be the 1st to tell me I'm being an idiot...but also the 1st to come to my aid if I asked. At least I think she would. Hmmm. Maybe. ;)

Tara is a rare person and I count myself very lucky to know her."

let's see... Feeling Croppy... dave matthew's secret lover...

tara is exactly who she says she is. she's wise, she's funny, strong, a fabulous mother and one of the most thoughtful souls i've ever encountered. i cannot wait to meet her this year. (it's going to happen).
tara's photographs tell stories. i like to just peruse through her music photos some days because there are so many! she's original! she shares her heart by photographing her love of music, her family and her environment.
i think the world of her.
i don't think she realizes just how many times she has helped me out of an emotional crisis by reminding me who i am.
if i had an older sister, i'd want it to be tara. i love this woman."

    "Tara...

Tara is one of the most special and wonderful people I have ever met in my life. While we were living in parallel worlds for a very long time, not connecting right away...we finally did on Flickr and I'm glad we did. At first we were linked and bonded quickly through our love of music. This transpired through our love of the written word through lyrics and, of course, what the Dave Matthews Band puts out. It's always fun to have a person who loves DMB as much as myself...a DMB sister of sorts. However, what I quickly learned is that Tara possesses so many sweet and wonderful qualities. Much more than just a connection through lyrics and a band.

Having met her in person now...these qualities all are magnified, because you can feel her warmth and enjoy all of what she offers in person. She is so many things... kind, FUN, fun loving, compassionate, caring, a friend, creative, honest, open, BEAUTIFUL, beautiful in every sense of the form. So many things. I don't even think I've listed them all. She's touched me in so many ways, I cannot even begin to start with explaining how. I know you know Tara...I know you know. Our time together seals this.

I'm so glad for Flickr. I've been blessed with meeting Tara and that I can call her my friend. I'll end it with...

“I'll lean on you and you lean on me and we'll be okay” -DMB

Everything will be "okay" with you in my life, Tara!! xoxo Marcie"

Probably the most important one is that I quit my job to pursue my live-long dream, I finally moved to Transylvania to do a PhD on the Count Dracula's cooking skills. Anyway, all this to say that she's a really cool and beautiful lady and that she will be invited to my graduation ceremony, where we will drink blood, play scrabble and remember the old times."

"There are so very few people in life, whom you meet and can call an instant friend. Tara is one of those few. We met while goofing off in an FU64 matchup--probably while comparing 'your mom' stories, and exchanging donkey penetration secrets ;-) I, however, quickly realized that Tara was more than just comic relief; she had a heart the size of the moon, and I instantly felt connected to her as a friend.

Before getting to know Tara as a friend, I would admire her pictures, too intimidated by her talent to actually comment. Tara takes such beautifully emotional pictures, and her musical/photography inspiration is unmatched. Not only are her pictures skillfully done, but each one possesses a little piece of her heart. I've never met anyone else who can do what she does.

This lady is a friend, a confidant, a photographic genius, and a truly beautiful and kind individual, who inspires me and encourages me daily to be better at everything I set out to do.

    Love and Hugs!"

"First and foremost Tara can capture an emotion in a single snap that moves a person, whether it be tears, laughter, admiration, or just awe. She is talented, smart witty and behind all of that tender, caring and compassionate. I feel blessed to know her through Flickr. I feel blessed to be able to peek into her life through her photos. she has been a friend through Flickr as well as a cyber friend that shares some very personal aches with me (family death) her photos make me laugh, cry, contemplate and stand back and say amazing. I think that whatever her muse is, she is blessed t have it. I will always be blessed to have known her and photography. She can capture magic in a single .jpg.
Talented, beautiful and a heart of gold, Tara is inspirational as well as grounded in reality.
    as the Irish blessing goes:
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
    And until we meet *
May God / Goddess hold you in the palm of His/Her hand.

thank you for your friendship and your photography

Although that is reason enough to check out her stream on a regular basis, she is also a hell of a talented photographer. She's also entertaining as all get out. It's fun to hang around here. The beagle photos are a nice bonus."

    monty2diva says:

"It is one of my favorite pictures on her stream. Tara is reclining on a sofa while laughing heartily at the same Elvis recording that would always break up her dear friend and late father decades ago. A gone-too-soon father's joy and laughter lives in his beloved daughter. She in turn gets us so caught up in that moment that we cannot help but at least smile for her while also revisiting our own pleasant memories. For me, for example, I'm taken back to the days I loved to watch my best friend and late father (our love for our lost fathers brought Tara and I together in the beginning) having a great laugh himself.

That image touches on the two core gifts this talented artist, my friend, possesses in her amazing photography and writings.

First, she is able to display some of her deepest emotions: There's her pride at being Her Father's Daughter (and the sadness that realizing he is gone always brings). And her love affair with her husband (one of the nuttiest and most intelligent people you will meet). Then there is the eagerness with which she shares the task of raising a precocious son who steals your heart with each appearance on her stream. Finally, you also see her unyielding faith in the premise that music is a Staff Of Life (with a strange corollary sub-doctrine that Dave Matthews and his band form some sort of second-tier deity.....)

Her second gift is just as important. Because through all of that sharing, as you look in on her world, she inspires you to get in better touch with your own.

I urge you to spend time here with Tara - and yourself. In the end, you'll realize it is not just a hearty laugh that is so infectiously being handed from father to daughter to grandson and other loved ones. Indeed, you'll discover that you've just received an increased zest for living."

She shares so much of her life and thoughts with people i feel as if i know her even though we have never met and I look forward to her posts every day. Tara thank you for all the kind comments you gave me when my son was born recently and i think its such a beautiful tribute to your dad that we all feel as if we know him through your work. xxx"

"I am not even sure now just how I came across Tara's stream the first time but it doesn't really matter. I was hooked from that first moment. I was drawn in first by the photo and then stayed for the read and am I ever glad I did. She became a daily fix I needed to complete my day. Through her shots and no holds barred blogs I came to know and understand things about both Tara and myself. I felt like we were just regular folk sitting around having coffee and shooting the shit. I felt like she was my sister and I could share things with her. I felt like she became a dear friend who I never wanted to lose track of. Together we laughed and cried and shared secrets and damn if she didn't take really fine pictures along the way. It is both a pleasure and an honor to know her.

Oh, yeah, and as this is really supposed to be about photography and not what a fabulous person Tara is - well, she is damn good at it. Always thought provoking, barrier breaking, twisted, fabulous and sexy. Love her posts and her wild sense of humour. Oh and did I say that she was a fabulous person? Cause she is. And so are her photos. I think I have got myself caught in some kind of endless circle thing here and must break free.. fabulous=Tara=Tara's photos=fabulous.....repeat"

"i think that i discovered tara's stream around the time she was covering The Beatles' White Album. and... i was hooked.

things you can tell just by browsing her stream:

that she's quietly, but, assuredly confident-, in herself, her work . that she uses both her camera and her words as finely honed weapons, both for Good and for Evil. (but the Evil is usually snarky and funny as hell, so the evilness is promptly forgiven.) that she's insanely beautiful, with legs that men would fight wars over. that she can craft an image to pair with a song so exquisitely, so powerfully, so cleverly, so whimsically, and so perfectly.

there are a handful of people on this site that i will check on daily, without fail. tara is at the top of that list. for both her images, that can easily stand on their own and for the words she chooses to accompany them. that everyone tends to have a bit of a party on her posts, with all the back and forth mockery, debate, silliness that will have you in fits of laughter - well, that's just the icing.

you know, i feel like i'm doing you a disservice here by not mentiong, in detail, how much FUN we have together. how utterly enjoyable you are. how much i adore you because you just... Get It. the jokes we play together, the double teaming, the way we are conquering the damn world together, when we see fit!

but i'm fresh out of witticisms and mostly i'm just very grateful to have a friend in you. you are unreal talented. your images are tremendously beautiful, filled with layers of talent, layers of meaning. you knock the ball right the hell out of the park every damn time. and you are one of the sweetest, smartest, sexiest, most lovely, witty as hell people i've had the pleasure not to have met (yet!).

so, Tara? thank you for mistakenly sending me the email in which you wrote (to someone else) how i frightened you - who is this person? pedophile? sociopath? just plain creepy?. because without that- we'd never have met, you'd never have seen my rack, and i'd never have known The Nirvana That Is Mocking Your Husband.

    xoxo"

Tara is an amazing person and I'm so lucky to count her among my friends. Her lust for all things in life is contagious. Her love of family should be a model for us all. Tara oozes (I'm using words like lust and oozing just for her husband Paul so he'll be guaranteed to read this) happiness, joy, sadness, care, sorrow, wonderment, and just about every single quality and emotion you can think of. I think in her I finally met someone who wears their heart on their sleeve more than I do. And her music-centered world particularly strikes chords in me and my love for music. As does her obvious love and affection for the little things in life. Her father was a blessed man. Paul and Noah are lucky men to have a wife and mother like Tara."

"Feeling Croppy is filled to the brim with serious Flickr mojo. Ok – so I have no idea what that means, but I thought it was a good opener. Her shots are always unique and thought provoking (I know: most good Flickr folks can say that). What makes her different is how her writing enhances her work in ways that others simply lack (or just can’t pull off when they try). I know one dude who tried to write a book using Flickr (uggghh). See, FC would never do that, because she fundamentally gets Flickr as a medium for expression, creativity, brevity, laughter, catharsis, sexiness, and joy. Follow her stream, you’ll be impressed. Plus, she is hot as all get-out. It is too bad she has high moral standards. How do I know? I offered her a large sum of money just to see her naked and grind up on her a bit (10 seconds tops) while I was fully clothed, but she flat out refused. That is one classy lady."
