Hello world!

Where to begin? I left my hometown 2005 after graduating. To keep friends and folks at home updated I got a camera and started capturing this and that on my journeys. Haven't returned home yet, so there is more to come, I guess...

I started out with a Panasonic Lumix FZ5, a fantastic point-and-shoot camera that I found very easy to use and delivered great picture for a reasonable price.

Five years later I was ready to move to a more serious machine, so I decided to upgrade to a entry level DSLR. I bought an Olympus E-620 double zoom kit and am very happy with it so far. The learning curve is a bit steep, but I enjoy learning more and more about photography.
