"Guardare le foto di Carlo è come poterlo conoscere anzitempo. Lui vi invita nella sua piccola stanza come fosse uno studente alla pari nella vostra stessa casa. Ogni volta che passerete a trovarlo vi avrà fatto una sorpresa, spostando ogni singolo mobile della sua stanza cercando di creare nuovo spazio, nuove comodità, una luce migliore. Qualche voltra lo troverete sommerso da pile di libri e fotocopie; per arrivare alla poltrona che vi fa trovare a disposizione dovrete passare attraverso un contorto dedalo di librerie e comodini ammassati l'uno sull'altro. E in quella divertente penombra, mentre lui è preso dalle sue faccende, chiacchererete insieme di sogni piccoli e grandi aspirazioni. Questa è la vera forza di Carlo: muovere sempre lo spazio della sua immaginazione. Guardare le sue foto è come essere immersi in un luogo vicino e distante allo stesso tempo dove "quello che è essenziale è invisibile agli occhi"."

"Carlo is an idealist and a seeker (or a dreamer as he likes to put it). He seeks the perfect photo (like Patrik Shwayze in Point Break was searching for his perfect wave). In the process he immerses himself into his photographic waves learning move after move, coming up with new techniques, new ideas, new visions. Methodical by training, Carlo applies this to photography and step by step achieves greater heights. One day i will look into a magazine, a newspaper or simply walk into a gallery and i will say with considerable pride: "this is a photo from my friend Carlo""
