Here you will find mainly photos of sports events, but also architecture and landscape shots. My camera is a Canon Powershot (I also have a cheap Fujifilm Finepix, I used a Sony DSC-H5 formerly), so don't expect quasi-professional photos.

Something personal about me: I'm from Merseburg (Saxony-Anhalt, Germany) and I study languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Armenian and Turkish) and history & culture of West-Asia and Northern-Africa in Halle/ Saale, near Merseburg. I'm in the 7th term now.

Perhaps, you want to know something about my football preferences, after viewing my pictures. I've been member of several under-aged football teams of the multi-sports club TSV Leuna 1919 (the men's team plays in the 3rd amateur level ''Landesklasse Sachsen-Anhalt, Staffel 6'' this season).
Due to I'm not active anymore, I turned into a groundhopper, so I watched hundreds of teams and clubs. I prefer to watch German amateur football, and professional and amateur football in several foreign countries, among them Czech Republic, Poland and other Eastern-/ Southeastern-European countries, as well as Arabic states.
Favourite teams: still Hansa Rostock (2nd Bundesliga, although I don't like German pro leagues anymore), Pogon Szczecin (2nd Polish pro division), Chmel Blsany (former 1st pro, now 1st amateur league in Czech Republic). After my trips to their countries and matches I enjoy watching Taraji (Esperance) Tunis, Red Star Belgrade and Galatasaray (Istanbul). National teams I especially like are Syria, Turkey, Faeroes, Mexico, Egypt, Tunisia.

Countries, where I watched football: Czech Republic (+ ice hockey, handball, narodni hazena, football tennis, ), Poland (+ basketball, futsal, motor speedway), Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Serbia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, Slovenia, Italy, San Marino, Tunisia, Syria (+ basketball), Sweden, Norway, Finland, Turkey (+ basketball), United Arab Emirates, Sultanate of Oman, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, and Morocco.

I also like other kinds of sport as handball, motoball, rugby, Aussie rules football, ice hockey and so on...

Despite sports and I'm interested in languges: mainly Arabic and Turkish, but I try to keep my English up to date, speak a bit Spanish and less Polish and Russian, and I also like languages of which I just know very few words. My favourite languages are: Arabic (especially the Syrian dialects), Polish, Hungarian, Luxembourgish, Turkish, Armenian, Romanian.

I also like historic buildings: castles, fortresses, Roman theatres etc.
