Starting my third year on Flickr, I think this is the longest I've ever stuck with a hobby, really photography has become a passion. I can't resist being out and about and having a camera in my hand.
Photography has made me notice more things and see things more beautifully. Some of my photos have been selected for online publication, everytime I get a request I give a little cheer of joy, makes for a happy day.
Just purchased my 2nd Digital Camera and having a bit of trouble adjusting to it. I love the feel of it in my hand and having a view finder has made a big difference on how I compose a shot, so it has not all been negative!
Thank you everyone for your support and the wonderful photos you share!

A year of photography. I can't believe it! I guess I stuck with it this time! I've met a lot of great people on Flickr and seen a lot of fantastic pictures.
I've learned that my strong points are nature (Sunsets) and macro photography. I feel I've noticed much more in the world around me~become more observant, amazing what you see and notice from day to day.
Thanks to all my Flickr Freinds as well as my Family and non-Flickr Friends for all the wonderful compliments and encourgement! It's been a very fun year!
Last Year:
I have always been interested in photography, however over the years I have only taken pictures from time to time. I just purchased a point and shoot digital (Aug 2006)(Samsung Digimax S500) and am really excited about the versatilty of using it.
I used to think photos should not be retouched but going digital as changed my mind on that. I look foward to taking many photographs and maybe enhancing some of them to bring out what I was truly trying to capture. Time will tell if I can keep up with it this go round.
**I also use a 30 year old Pentax K1000, and a Fuji point and shoot 35MM usully using ISO400 film various brands. (processed to disc)

Testimonials
lreed7649 says:
"Her photography is an inspiration -- both literally and figuratively. She has the great good fortune to live in one of the most photogenic places on Earth, but she has made the most of it. Her photographs of the Gettysburg area (not just the battlefield) in all seasons and all times of day are a case-study in the potential of a long-term, sensitively done documentary project. She has also provided enormous encouragement to other photographers and has brought an important photo pool (Gettysburg) back from the dead."
Violet Clark says:
"A Civil War battlefield has a story to tell that many visitors see through their eyes, but not with their heart. They see monuments, buildings, and landscapes that are pieces of the story, but they fail to see the story that these places and special spots encompass. Fauxto_digit, through the lens of her camera, tells a poignant and dramatic tale that so many of us miss on the battlefield. As a resident of Gettysburg, she never fails to share the beauty and the tragedy of our country’s most beloved Civil War site in every image she takes. I appreciate her work, and hope that we have the privilege of seeing many more images for years to come. ~~Violet T. Clark"
