Welcome to my photostream,

All my pictures are copy writed and cannot be used without my express permission..

I recently had problems with my Farmer Giles photostream so created "Itchy feet Photography" hoping to overcome those probs but sadly it didn't.. However a new computer did so I thought I would combine the two streams, hope you like it..

Why call it "itchy feet Photography?"

Well, if you've got medical problems and have asked google for possible answers to curing athletes foot, have some sort of fetish and have come here expecting exotic pictures of feet, corns or bunions... then you're going to be seriously disappointed..

Let me explain why..

I have always enjoyed photography but like a lot of us on flickr it started as just a hobby, something I wasn't that serious about. I used a camera to capture pictures of the family or took it away with me on holiday to snap a few pics here and there. I never really put any artisic thought into what I was doing or what I was trying to achieve.

Joining flickr changed all that for me in a very big way after having seen some of the amazing photgraphs that have been uploaded to this site. Looking at the artistic content, different photographic styles and how people from different backgrounds view our beautiful world it ignited a spark inside me.

Our world is such a wonderful place full of sights that just quite simply take your breath away. The diversity of our cultural backgrounds, rather than being a negative thing is quite the opposite, its what makes the human race such an amazing species. Add to that the wonders of nature and the animal kingdom and we truly find ourselves living on a wonderful planet (so who cares if there are billions of other planets out there in the cosmos).

Its my love of animals that took me into farming and I enjoy my job immensely. Like all occupations it has its ups and downs but being surrounded by nature, the outdoors and being able to create new life and watch it grow is very satisfying/rewarding. Its extremely hardwork and for that reason you periodically need to get away to recharge your batteries.

Travelling is such an adventure and is so exciting and made me realise just how much I love and have missed it. It also filled me with this insatiable desire to capture as much of our world, its sights, wildlife and essense on camera (hence "itchy feet photgraphy" because I've got itchy feet for the next adventure).

You'll see mostly animal pictures in my stream, with some pictures from my travels, architecture, people etc so I hope you enjoy it.. Isn't photograpghy great eh, capturing a moment in time forever is just fantastic.

"Like most of us.....Andy`s early days on Flickr were somewhat hit and miss....and I think he would be the first to agree with that...but not anymore....due to his innate skill and natural talent, willingness to learn, determination and perseverance....(and faulty computers permitting)....he has mastered his craft to the point that his animal and travel photography is some of the best on Flickr....there was a time Andy would write me e-mails asking for tips on techniques and processing....but not anymore...he has found his niche in photography.....one he is obviously very comfortable with...and one that brings sheer delight to his many fans....of which I am proud to say I am one....cheers mate...prarper jarb!"
