I'm 29 and I'm working in IT and I'm living with a cat called Täystuho (Compete Destruction) and Pipsa. I occasionally raise litters, but not from my own cats.

I also work as software designer and photographer (freelancer, thanks to Flickr). I have two degrees - one in business (batchelor) and one in computers (masters). I speak Finnish, English, Swedish and some Japanese.

In general I love flickr, because here is some much such a great art that keeps me inspired and makes me want to work for better photos. Also those photos that makes my heart beat faster will find their way to my favorites. It is a mad feeling when you a looking photo and your heart start racing - and it's "only" a photo!

My old camera was Canon Powershot S50 (uptill spring 2007) and now I have Canon EOS 400D mostly with humble kit lense (18-55mm). I also have Canon 50mm, 24-70mm and 55-300mm.

Right now my objective is to study light. That is why I prefer take photos at dark, because then the light is limited and more facinating. In arctic Oulu it means during winter I can the dark shots even during day, and during midsummer's mignight sun I'm having troubles taking photos.

I joined here in the fall 2005 and I have been here now for some time. During that time have developed a great deal thanks to people in Flickr. And you can see the change in my photostream.





I have to remind you, but though I appreciate invites to join to group and/or post a certain photo there, I have principle that I will not participate to any group that uses photos in their comments (and animated gifs are the worst). I'm an oldschooler and I'd prefer textual comments. Animated gifs are just pure evil.


About contacts. I do comment my contacts. But for that reason I like to keep my contact amount in about 200 so that I can actually keep up with them. I won't take new contacts easily and if I do I just might drop out some passive ones. I also remove all contacts that have more than 400 contacts themselves. I doubt that with that amount one has enough time to see and comment their contacts. Someone might prove me wrong tough :) But no worries if you are not my contact, I do keep my eye on other people's photos too.
