A collector of old camera junk, in my spare time. MCAD '92 ( www.mcad.edu ), where I took the most expensive vacation of my life. Made some interesting stuff, though.

I've got a nonlinear mind; follow the links I sometimes imbed in the little "floating notes" that can be added to images on flickr.

Also using a camcorder with two megapixel sensor, sometimes in the "still mode". See some video at www.youtube.com/watch?v=_myEhhf4amU . Serious digital video geek, for more than a decade (professionally).

More interested in capturing a moment in time or a texture, than making the perfect exposure.

Trying to use the work I see on flickr to push me back to more challenging images. Not afraid to post "snapshots" or "moments of blur". Working on shooting live music, too.

All this, and an old bad habit I've recently returned to: film...and then there's video from a DSLR..will the magicial toys never stop coming? Plus, there's the fun of "toy camera" apps on the iPhone 4. "Shiny objects" and "bad camera habits" combined!

I'm constantly having to learn new gear (related to my job), which is why the EXIF data on my images is all over the place. I really don't own all the cameras the EXIF suggests; something is always out for a test drive (and then back to the display shelf, safe and sound).

As of February 2011, I actually own a camera that lets the old school lenses play with a digital sensor; an E-PL1, complete with EVF (and my first adapter). Should be a kick.
