Faith Works is a network of diverse congregations representing 21,000 families in North San Diego County. Our vision is that one day all people will experience the justice and opportunity that is extended by the American promise. Our mission is to strengthen family life, communities and true democracy by building volunteer leadership that transforms congregations into powerful voices for the common good. We are affiliated with the PICO National Network, a non-partisan interfaith alliance.

We believe that everyday people know best what their families and communities need and that they can (and should) lead the way to achieving it. In fact, one of our bedrock principles is “never do for others what they can do for themselves.” Working within the faith-filled settings of our congregations, we teach people how to identify common problems, research the causes, craft solutions, and work with public and private sector leaders to put those solutions into effect. It is all about leadership, and we are building a legacy of inspired faith-based leadership that will continue to breathe life into the American promise.
