Thanks for being here. If you want you can track me on Twitter..
Thank you for visiting my photo stream and your support. I opened a page at Facebook. If you have the time, please do like it for me. TIA

If you have added me to your contacts and I have not added you right away, please do not feel offended.
It is just that i am taking some time... to let you and I know/appreciate each other's work first.. If you comment on my work it is quite certain that I will be seeing your work. I have been on flickr long enough to know that one way traffic sucks.
I have a fairly large list of contacts whose photos I look at on a regular basis and comment as well. It would be quite impractical for me to to add every person who adds me as a contact because I can not possibly do justice to your beautiful photos. So please bear with me.
If you want to see a unique flow of photographs in chronological order( reversed) you can do so on FluidR. Be Warned, it is heavy on bandwidth.
See on FluidR for better viewing
Here are some shots from the pure muscle thumping heat of bull races to the serene majesty of lonely waters and mountains to some psychedelic kitsch for the pop soul

click-n-joy! says:
"An ode to a true Photographer…
In a world of copycats here's to the original
The man who sees beauty in both the mundane and the extraordinaire … and captures it so beautifully that it leaves you speechless...
In the as it is-ness of life
In the cultures of a country diverse
In the people who go unnoticed and sometimes noticed
In the vast expanses of unexplored lands and the crowded festivals of commercial metropolises
The man who never fails to acknowledge… thank... pay it back and most of all encourage, whether a newbie an amateur or a veteran fellow photographer...
In the form of regular visits
In the form of articulate comments
In the form of rampant favorites
On Twitter, Facebook, 500px or others
The man whose photo write-ups are marvelously smooth and insight-fully delicious… who shares unabashedly the details of each photo he takes and posts for us to see and of course cherish… come back to and learn something new from...
About the history
About the character
About the instance… the tradition… the custom… the rites and rituals
About the technical details
The man who has mastered the nuances of photography…
As an art
A science
A hobby
A passion
Everything about him resonates photographic excellence... clicking not just from the camera but from the heart mind and soul...
Taking pains to conceptualize
To organize
To make comfortable his photo subjects... to even help them pose
To take permission before clicking people and duly thanking them not prying into privacy
Through his magic lens destinations most popular or most traveled look anew ...
Goa
Kerela
Ladakh
To name a few...
The man who has various facets to him…
A cheesemaker
A winemaker
A writer… a blogger
A photographer… A photo editor…
My testimonial is number 66... a testimony itself to his talent and charismatic warmth...
Anoop Negi… you are impeccably creative and entirely inspiring... for many many and me a 100%…"15th December, 2011

Magic Theatre [OFF} says:
"Regarded as a guardian of Goa culture Anoop Negi invites me and all to a wondrous reality – the seldom or never seen traditions of India.
In his vast and stately collection I perceive marvellous beauty of ancient ceremonies, astonishing nature – ocean and land, and, especially, eminent portraits of people – ordinary and extraordinary: elders and young.
Annop has, with all that surrounds him, a natural agreement of gentleness and respect: you can see it in the eyes of those he take photographs – and you can observe it in the details – including every photos extensive and informative description: in light, motion, colours, location and position – and in the unnoticeable more –
When I see a photo by Anoop I can not help ... to look again, as if caught by something indistinguishable. And the reason that happens is because ... there always is ... something more: particularitys that had me mesmerized the first time.
All is intended – in Annops work.

"First, allow me to quote:
:: On Flickr, we sometimes forget that we lead such lovely inter connected lives. Day in and day out we can gauge the moods, aspirations and existential outpouring of life and creative work of each other, but never pause to consider it in depth and maybe define a person out of our perceptions.:: ~~ ANOOP NEGI ~~
Isn't that wonderful? It's only a glimpse of Anoop's exquisite writing for you here.
Now, whatever I wanted to say about Anoop and his outstanding photography skills have been all spelled out by the seemingly endless testimonials below. So what else can I say but to agree totally ?! This man knows his stuff !
I've been riding with Anoop since his Coracle and the Kerala backwaters days... following him since and finding his photos both fascinating and educational. He writes eloquently and elegantly accounting his every journey in each photo that he puts up here. He never attempts for any attention to himself but his followers are many. I'm humbled by him. I respect him in every way. A perfect gentleman who is kind, generous and oh so talented. His comments on my photos always make me smile and I search to see what he puts up here, next ... and next....
Dear friend, please carry on the way you are. You're very special."26th January, 2011

"It has been more than one year since I know him. and apparently I am
one of the few blessed souls on flickr who got a chance to meet him,
more than once :P shoot with him and 'learn' from him. I am the one
who has taken all the liberty, being such a naughty student if that to
say the least..
and well, it is now I am writing these few words here.. ( ...am so sinful)
I guess this is what shows I haven't yet learned my lessons ...Gurudev.
Well everyone here on Flickr talks about , how influenced he or she is
of your photography But I am not going to add anything on that front
because It has turned in to a phenomenon in itself. It is something
that I am hardly qualified enough to comment about. I know you more as
a Guide, a Person whom I look up to for advice on anything and
everything related to photography and beyond.
In one sentence, I know one thing that.. well, "you know how to do it right"
We had planned for a trip together to Ladakh in 2010 to shoot that
wonderful high world of barren beauty. It is a pity, that I had to
make it there all alone.... and then you made your trip later. I hate
you for that as you were doubly blessed with the warm hospitality of
the Defence forces to provide you inputs on Ladakh whereas I was left
to wander on the India - Pakistan border all alone :P But well, I'll
make sure, that I create random chances and more opportunities to be
bestowed by your august company and actually learn more from you..
Thanks for all the gyan...gurudev.. you are the best.. goes to show
why you're one the most popular persons on flickr..""17th December, 2010

"Sirjee - as i fondly call Anoop (Ezee for many), is my favorite photographer but more than that he is a great human being. Kindness, patience, humility, openness and willingness to share with others his knowledge, is what makes him special. I strongly believe that only those with great heart make great images - and Sirjee is such a great example of one such person. He is also the one who inspires me to continue photographing everyday, his images are not cliched and offer his unique point of view. His work celebrates the beauty of India - the colors, the people and the endearing human story behind.
Sirjee also has a gift of gab and he has a way with words, I tell him he should write a book. !!
I know i will meet him someday .. and it will be a special day for me. Thanks a lot Anoop Sir - you are a great role model.
PS: I know not why you fav my not so great pics too but your words mean a lot to me - so keep em coming !!"12th December, 2010

"When Anoop wrote a testimonial about me, I was humbled— for he is a photographer that I admire as among the most talented on Flickr. Not only does he have a broad command of the technical aspects of photography, he has an incredible eye.
His work is broad and it is diverse. From stunning landscapes to amazing portraits to images that tell a story, Anoop has mastered them all. To me, his trademark is a exclamation of a vivid color or a to punctuate an image. The brightly colored bus, rounding a corner— providing a sense of motion, as well as drawing the eye through the image in a pleasing way. A monk in a crimson red robe, surrounded by tones of gold. A series of story telling images. From fairs to carnivals to Free Tibet— I have learned a lot from just spending time with his photostream.
And, Anoop always seems to find the perfect thing to say about my images, when he comments. He often picks something that I had overlooked, yet when I see what he is saying, I understand better why I liked my own photo to begin with.
Of all though, his efforts with Free Tibet, personify Anoop. He is brings a social conscience to Flickr. A low key effort, yet I believe it was an effective one. When he had the Free Tibet initiative on, I was skiing in western Canada. I remember stomping around in the snow to find an image that would fit in his effort. I found one. I published it. It made explore. I was shocked. I was also gratified that perhaps, in some small, incremental way, it helped the cause.
So, as you peruse Anoops work, you are seeing a remarkable talent at work on many levels. It is a journey of enlightenment! He is a master!"10th September, 2010

"When I first stumbled upon Anoop’s photostream I was pulled in by a visual feast composed of his marvelous images of Indian Festivals. In these Anoop managed to capture the decisive moments brilliantly and delivered these with strong compositions and incredible color. In addition Anoop has the amazing ability to convey an array of emotions through the eyes of the performers he photographs. As powerful as these images are Anoop’s abilities transcend into other photographic disciplines with equal excellence. His skillfully captured landscapes are a delight to look at. The more I look at Anoop’s photo stream the more amazed I am by his gripping and beautiful images. Now that you’re here take your time to look around and enjoy!"

"A as I call him has the gift to 'see' with his camera what we see through our eyes.
His pictures are real life stories, sometimes funny, sometimes sad ,but always honest. His stream is a place of great interest. His photography is truely inspiring, I wait for each of his photos to be uploaded for more inspirations. Very generous with his explanations on how the photo was taken and what went in his mind during the process. His attention to detail is outstanding. Needless to mention his art of storytelling, his comments and candor. That's Not all he is a Complete Genius with terrific skills in photoshop.
If I look at his pictures i always get the same feeling: it looks like I'm really there and see what he sees. He's one of the few people I trust blindly. It's been an honor for me to be one of his friends on flickr. There is a lot of good and inspiring photographers on flickrland and to me he is definitely one of them. He loves and cares about what he does and this shows in his outstanding work. I am highly impressed and hope to be as good as he is someday!" a photographer with great vision his caring and compassion comes through loud and clear...here is wishing you joy and happiness and beautiful vistas to capture. I look forward to many years of viewing his photos."
But the thing that makes having A as a contact/friend ,a real delight is his approachability, support and generosity of spirit. And while I glanced through them a fictional character from Rushdie's 'Haroun and The Sea of Stories' came to mind. Te character of Rashid Khalifa who had this wonderful knack of weaving stories and his stories were never repeated. That is precisely what Anoop's photostream is all about. Every picture is new and has a new tale to narrate. He really lives in an 'Ocean of Colours' and the best thing about him is that, his magic from the 'Ocean of Colours' is made visible to everyone. You have been a wonderful wonderful friend in my journey through flickr."3rd June, 2008

Not only are all his photos of fantastically high quality and artistry but each photo is accompanied by a really interesting description. He never disappoints and I look forward to seeing many many more of his amazing pictures. Thank you Anoop for giving so many people so much!"
