For the working side of my life, I am a Sugar Artist much more than I am a cake maker these days. I still do make the occasional cakes for clients but teaching my art takes up much more of my time and for this I am truly grateful....it means I have more time on my hands to spend with my family. I started making cakes in 2003 and in this relatively short period, I have become a well known name in the Sugar Craft industry. I am a member of the British Sugar Craft Guild and am very proud to say that I am an Accredited BSG Demonstrator. In 2008 I was invited by Capital Confectioners to teach workshops in Austin, Texas. Since that visit, the invitations from other International Cake Clubs and Organisations have been tremendous. In 2009 I taught in Houston, Austin and New York. I kick off 2010 with Los Angeles and will follow that with Ireland, Florida, Ontario, Seattle and New York! I am truly honoured and not to mention THRILLED to know that my work can pull in a crowd! hahaha! I'd like to think that my personality has something to do with that too. ;o)

On the personal side.....I am a mother to 3 fabulous kids and a young (YES I AM!!) grandmother to two fabulous boys, Andrew and Daniel and one little princess, Tegan! Daniel has Downs Syndrome. I am also a part-time carer to Paul who has complex special needs. Paul has been a HUGE part of my life for the last 10 years. I have a good sense of humour and try to see a bright side in any situation....try, being the operative word! I don't smoke or drink but I don't mind those who do, except people who smoke while I am eating....that does annoy me. I can be too impulsive at times but not if it means I hurt or offend anyone by being so. I live for today!
