Oficio de esperanzas

Aunque el desasosiego inunde mi alma de penas imposibles,
subsista a duras penas y con heridas
a la búsqueda extenuante de mi vida,
me sumerja en la cíclica y amiga depresión
y crezca el dolor del desafecto, de las lejanías, de la ausencia,
me obstino en adiestrar mi oficio de esperanzas.

Porque mi oficio es observar sin nostalgia
la marcha irremediable del ayer,
divisar de lejos lo que viene,
esperar en la ilusión de la vida que yo quiero,
descubrir con esmero y de cerca mi presente
en la ávida curiosidad por casi todo
y olvidarme del futuro que no existe.

Aunque la traición me vuelva a sorprender,
aparezcan de nuevo los buitres insaciables,
la soledad deje de ser la que yo quiero
y sobreviva sin besos, sin abrazos,
entre estériles palabras que me agotan,
me obstino en adiestrar mi oficio de esperanzas.


Trade of hopes

Although the uneasiness floods my soul of impossible sorrows,
I remain hardly injured
in the strenuous pursuit of my life
what immerses me in the cyclical and friendly depression
and the pain grows from disaffection, from distances, the absence,
I persist in training my job of hopes.

Because my job is to observe without nostalgia
the progress of the irretrievable past,
to see what comes from afar,
wait in the hope of life I want,
discover hard and about my present
with the avid curiosity about almost everything
and forget the future does not exist.

Although treason surprise me again,
appear again insatiable vultures,
loneliness would cease to be what I want
and survive with no kisses, no hugs,
between sterile words to me exhausted,
I persist in training my job of hopes.
