my name is cyra.
i am a graphic designer by trade.
i live alone in south brooklyn.
i have a cat named gizmo.

i've rediscovered a long dormant love of photography and looking at the world through a lens. i like the imperfect shot; the blinding flash or the too dark shot, the blur, the shake, and the process in and of itself. i don't think there are ever any 'bad shots' or 'bad photographers' as long as you've captured something then it's a start. photographs serve as a visual memory of people, places, and time.

i am always looking for new friends and people to shoot with in the new york city metropolitan area. if i have added you as a contact it's because i like the way you see things through your respective lens, if you like what i see through mine then please feel free to add me back.

non photo related...i've been known to wear hoodies year round and carry a flask in my purse. i'm rather quiet until you get to know me, which sometimes makes me seem unapproachable. on occasion, i miss driving my car, an old volkswagen. i'm a designer that loathes the macintosh, please don't try to argue about it with me, its just a personal preference.

in short i'm a typical twentysomething neurotic new yorker. i work in a tall glass and steel tower, i frequent dive bars on the lower east side, and i fancy myself somewhat of an individual. i've been told i am hard to read at times which is odd, usually its written all over my face.

i'm the girl that everybody knows but no one really does; i'm constantly changing my mind, i'm somewhat subdued and loud as hell all at the same time. i'm not witty, sometimes can be unkind, and have a knack for butchering the english language.

some people say i have excellent taste in accessories.
