Over the course of my Master of Fine Arts program at the Visual Studies Workshop in Rochester, New York, I photographed each and every chair at this not-for-profit media arts center and graduate school
This Flickr account serves as an interactive archive of that project. Anyone who would like to explore and add tags or comment are welcome to do so.
Current and former students, staff, faculty, friends of, or visitors to the Visual Studies Workshop are encouraged to add tags and leave comments on the chairs themselves or the recollections they inspire.
It is my hope that this archive can serve multiple purposes; among them, as a personal record of my own Visual Studies Workshop experience as well as an experimental history of the organization to be shared and supplemented by others.
