fear of the unknown
...this is my visual diary; how i see the world as life happens...or,
life as the world happens...


most of my photos are from travel, but i'm finding that my interest in subject matter is constantly expanding...and am continually in awe and inspired by what i see here on flickr, and of course, out there in our tiny big world!


my journeys: ideally, i like to travel every year. it's important for me to be out of my comfort zone...that's when i break the habits of my everyday life and reconnect with myself and with the world in which i live. i am especially fond of places that are spiritual and rich in culture and color. and the photography aspect is a bonus because it allows me to come home and reflect, relive, digest, and share what i've seen and experienced.


when not traveling, i still try to shoot often. i tend to find meaningful images around me, and look for the subtle things that are sometimes missed. often, they are symbolic of what i feel and experience in my own life. whatever it may be, i try to communicate the beauty in what i see.
