Erin Lynn Clarke's photostream |
Erin Clarke is a Toronto media artist who first encountered photography with her mother's Brownie box camera at age six. She was given her first 35mm SLR camera (a Zenit B) and light meter by her father at age 12 and learned to develop black & white film. Erin continued with photography (along with drawing, painting and print-making) during her early fine arts studies at the Ontario College of Art (as it was called back then) until she started to work with electronics and video and changed majors in third year. While photography has taken a back seat in Erin's art practice ever since, it has remained an integral part of her creative process.
