I write about unemployment [especially my OWN, the lingering sort], life working as a plush mascot, and less-so of my intermittent creative bursts, most notably, comic drawing and writing. I'm currently on-the-wane, after a year of creative free-for-all that I can only call rapturous. Now, though, I've apparently dried up on the inside. My characters are becoming bitter at their surroundings. But maybe that's just who's piloting right now. Someone else may take over soon in clearer, calmer skies.

I've been working my ass off to stay relevant, independent and off the dole, but failing miserably as my parents now rise to buoy me up. Thanks Maman. Thanks Dad.

Two words: BE NICE. Sometimes you only get one chance for that.

And, no, I don't believe in polishing some things. Rough is how we are at our purest, I always say. And so I prefer to leave some gaffes alone.

If I've left some part of the thought 'out', then wait a couple weeks. I'll usually come back to it.
