Eric the Nýbúi's photostream  

I am an American -- born and raised -- and now I live in a small town called Vogar in the southwest corner of Iceland. I am married to a great woman and have three kids (a teenage step-daughter and two boys). I've been in Iceland since January 8, 2000. I have an MSc in marine biology and work for the Marine Research Institute in Reykjavík since February, 2010.

For me, photography is a good way to develop myself. I know that I'm still working through some of the clichés of the photographic experience but I'm on the right path, I think. I love photography and hope to develop myself into a real photographer through trial and error and by watching what others are doing.

Please ask for permission through written correspondence before you use any of my photos. Though I normally give freely, I do not want just anyone to get their hands on these photographs and you do not have the right to profit on my work.
