COPYRIGHTS AND PHOTO USE/DOWNLOADING
All of my photography, titles and captions are copyrighted with all rights reserved. You do NOT have the right to copy, print, download, display, alter, blog, re-post or otherwise use any of my photos, titles or captions in any manner without my express written consent.

If you are interested in using any of my photographs, then please email me with your requests and intentions and I will respond. Use of flickr in other ways is forbidden under the terms of use and I strickly abide by that policy. All of my photography is a hobby and is performed on a not for profit basis.

FLICKR CONTACTS
I try to view my contacts' photos at least once per week. In order to do that, I need to keep a manageable number of people on my contacts list.

If you do not reciprocate with comments and favorites, then I probably do not follow your work.

If you comment, I ask that you please do NOT post any awards, graphics, photos, or links unless I have requested such (e.g. when I submit a photo to a specific awards/comment group). There are too many people fishing for views in other people's streams. That's not right!

I regularly thin-out my contacts list, so if you've been dropped due to inactivity on commenting, it's not personal, it's a time and mutual input thing. The other reason I drop people is if they regularly post links to their stream in my comment boxes. If you want to reconnect, just send me an email or photo comment.

PHOTO LOCATIONS
I geotag many of my photos so viewers can see the location on a map. Most other photos have a general description of the area photographed. In some instances I provide no description or geotag in order to protect historical and cultural resources, or to reduce duplicity. I do not give out more information regarding the photo location than already provided, so please do not ask.

FAMILY
If you are a family member, please send me a message by clicking on the "Send FlickrMail" link below my screen name near the top of my "Profile" page. You will need to register for a free flickr account to do this. When you contact me, I can then place you on my "family and friends" list which will allow you to see and print private family photos in my account.

My comments on your photos are always meant to be positive. If you find any criticism in one of my comments to you, it is meant to be constructive. My comments are always just my amateur opinion. If you are ever offended by a comment or note that I’ve placed on your work, please contact me so that I might explain and apologize for any misunderstanding.

I appreciate all good natured and well intended comments on my work, including constructive criticism. I have a lot to learn from all of you! Whether or not you receive a direct response from me, please accept this note as my gratitude for your input.

MY PHOTOGRAPHY BACKGROUND
In the 1970’s my dad put his old 1950’s-era hand-me-down Kodak 35mm camera into my hands and I knew that I was hooked on photography. Like many of my interests (e.g. computers and local travel), my photography can be classified as “user only”. I was never in a photo-darkroom, and you will probably never find me under the hood of a car, but I still use cameras and automobiles. Just show me the gas pedal, brake and steering wheel … then get out of the way!

In high school, I took photos for the yearbook with several school-owned 35mm cameras including a Minolta and a Konica. In college I “borrowed” my father’s Canon Pellix, along with his 50mm and 135mm lenses. I later received the first SLR of my own, a Canon AE-1 which I shot with for 19 years. In 2003, I broke into the digital world with a Canon EOS 10D body. I've been enjoying photography with a renewed passion ever since!
