If you’ve read “our story” on the site you know that Empire has been in our family for over 60 years. We have been around the industry all our lives (as a matter of fact, we were going to trade shows before the age of 10!) and all made the decision after college to work in the family business. Although they say family business can be challenging, we continue have a blast running Empire Beauty and we are proud of the legacy involved. Looking back, we realized that each generation has put it’s stamp on this company. Obviously, my grandparents founded the business in the 40’s putting their stamp on it. They kept it running until my parents took over in the 70’s. In the early 80’s they recognized a change in the industry and opportunity to improve the company by converting the stores into retail entities and adding salons to each store...putting their stamp on it. Since my brothers and I became involved we have done a nice job growing the business (expanding from 7 to 18 locations since 1996). This being the case, we still haven’t really brought anything new to the table...until now.

With the onset of our new website and Facebook page we are looking to take Empire Beauty to the next level. We have realized that the best way to do this is to bring more to you, our customers and to the industry as a whole. With these new outlets, we want to create a community with our customers and visitors. We will provide loads of info, tips, trends, video demos and reviews, promotions etc. Most of the content will be beauty related or we may just chat about current events or the ins and outs of three brothers running a business together. One way or another, we want to get our customers involved in our business so that we can create a connection that I believe is so important in this day in age. And we want to have fun with it. After all we’re talking about beauty here. It’s supposed to be fun! Billboards and newspaper ads are no longer a personal way to connect with customers. We don’t want to push our brand on to you. We invite you to get involved with us. Your input, anything from product comments to questions/concerns to suggestions as to how we can better serve you are welcome. I promise we will read, respond and act upon everything you contribute. So whether it be through a comment left on the site, an email, becoming a Facebook fan, a Twitter friend or any other way in which you choose to connect with us, please feel free to do so. Small family run businesses are not as common as they used to be which is a shame because it used to be that you actually we able to have a relationship with the places you shopped. We want to keep this theme alive!
