The Engineering Management Program (EMP) was created in 1989 with an endowment through the Lockheed Martin Corporation. The master’s program was created so that working engineers and technical professionals may pursue an advanced degree in engineering via Distance Education. The body of knowledge within the degree provides business skill sets to enable working engineers from around the world to bridge over into management.
