Hi there. My name is Emma, I'm 17 years old and I take pictures. I'm also Dutch and addicted to the internet.

To me, the most important thing in photography is light. Like impressionist painters, I'm not photographing objects, I'm only trying to show you what the light does to them. Natural light.

I think 'look at what the light did now' by Little Wings & Feist is a great song. I also think every song by Regina Spektor is a great song. Click here for more music stuff.

I don't mind clichés in general but there are some that annoy me like any picture with a globe and the word 'wanderlust' in it. And I dislike most of the HDR stuff. I hate watermarks and group icons in comments.

My photography to-do list is really long. For example, I'd love to explore portrait photography, and architecture, and macro, and a lot more.

May 6th is my birthday.

Sometimes I can be a really jealous little girl when pictures that I think I could take with my eyes closed (blurry crap with huge watermarks) get more comments than mine. But I try to get over it as soon as possible.
