I create images in attempt to explore and reveal the ethereal terrain of the mind. The landscape of the mind is a reflection of one’s physical environment just as one’s physical environment is a reflection of one’s mind. My interest in the symbiotic relationship between the mind and the physical world, and other such dualities, is the foundation for my work as an artist.

The mind is a space for abstraction; it is our tool for translation and representation of the external. In this way, our minds simultaneously bring us closer to, and distance us from, reality.

In my work, I am exploring the paradoxical and incomprehensible nature of the mind. When I examine my mind, I am attempting to transform it into a finite space. This is the absurdity of trying to know ourselves, of trying to understand something that is beyond our grasp.
