I am a girl who hates writing profiles because I'm afraid of what people might think. I am always afraid of being put into a stereotype mold and I try not to fit any mold but my own.

My name isn't really Emiko Hime, that's just the internet alias I always use because I feel somewhat uncomfortable with giving away my real name. People call me Emiko, though my real name is Sydney (when I was younger, I didn't like saying my real name, lest I be abducted). Call me what you like, but I prefer Emiko since that's been my moniker forever.

I started taking simple photos when I was young with a simple disposable camera. I soon moved on from that. When my father bought our first digital camera, I started to take photos with that. I soon became hooked. A year later he bought me my own camera and it never left my side. Now I'm 21, and I have three distinct cameras. Boy have times changed!

But I'm no professional or anything- I just love taking photos. Photography in general is just a great thing and I enjoy it highly.
