About me:
I am retired and live in Redesdale, Northumberland (UK). My interest in digital photography started in 2006 but I have had an interest in photography generally for much longer; for more than thirty years in fact.

From the Spring of 2009 I will be concentrating my efforts on natural history subjects (see my natural history collection). I will continue to photograph these subjects in the beautiful countryside around and about where I live in Redesdale, as well as in Coquetdale, the Scottish Borders and elswhere.

Contacts:
In the past, I have made contacts of Flickr users whose pictures attract me or of those users who share similar interests. I try to keep up-to-date with all my contacts' new pictures and make regular encouraging comments.

Recently I have deleted a number of contacts because it was becoming too difficult for me to comment on everyone's pictures. If you make me one of your contacts and I don't reciprocate, please don't be offended.

Pools and Groups:
I will seldom, if ever, accept invitations to join groups. As a rule of thumb, I have joined one group for each of my natural history subject areas.

Panasonic Lumix FZ28 (my camera of choice at present)
Nikon D50 with standard Nikkor 18-55mm lens;
Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED AF-S VR Zoom;
Nikon Coolpix P5100.

And for digiscoping (Compact Option):
Nikon ED78 Fieldscope and Nikon ED50 Fieldscope;
Nikon DS 30x Eyepiece (16x on the ED50);
Nikon FSB-6 Coolpix digiscoping bracket (together with the Nikon Coolpix P5100);
Hoodman 2.5" Hood Loupe.
