Tagelsir Elmelik is a painter, photographer.graphic designer, certified conservation framer, and an accomplished photographer.He is an active member of Alexandria Torpido Factory Art League, his art featured and exhibited frequently on the art league gallery through the monthly juried group contest, won first place in several contests, his art featured in many galleries throughout the Washington DC metro

area, artisric impressions gallery templehills MD, studio 2001 and other galleries.

Taj exhibited around the world, Flourence Italy, Cyprus, Greece, in the last 14 years he stablished his career as a professional artist in the USA, his art is aquired by american art collectors, corporate , educaional and entertainment institutions, his work as a master framer is displayed in smithsonian, the white house and the( SEC) building.

T. Elmelik is an art consultant whose services included (PBS) and many of the areas top hotels , he provides his services through The Principle Gallery in oldtown , and his group studio (Artemesia) on lee street oldtown, his graphic works appeared on magazines , such as Arts and Antiques, and American Artist, and other publications, he photographed notable events , notable personalities and celebraties.

He also helped dsigning many album covers videos and all sorts of musical presentations, for sudanese and american hip hop artists,he also participated in providing artistic representation for different events held by the the sudanese organizations in the US, his last exhibition (shape of vision) for instance, was sponsored by SACDO, took place on january 2004 at the CET building.

His deepest gratitude goes to both people in Medani and Halfiat Elmulook, for establishing his very foundation of awareness, to Sudan for the the desert , the forest and the broad skies.

He practiced journalism , creative writing, poetry, greatly influenced by the jazz masters, R &B and sudanese contemporary music, that shows clearly in his visual interpretations of musical and sound themes in his art, the continious presence of Miles Davis, wardi, jelly roll Morton and John Coltrane.Taj is strong believer in setting no format boundaries for art.

Taj resides in Alexandria , Virginia with his wife Lita Ramsingh and his two sons Ashraf and Sami.
