To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is to serve as my formal recommendation for Mike Ellis. I have known Mike for five years. I met Mike when he was referenced to us by a client as potential design resource. Since that time we have entrusted Mike with dozens of clients and projects.

From the very beginning, I have always been impressed by Mike’s ability to mine brilliance from grounds that seem barren. At first I believed it was simply because he was an inherently creative individual, which he is. But what makes Mike stand apart is his ability to guide clients through the creative process. He asks the right questions, listens attentively and has an astounding knack for making the complex simple and palpable.

Mike brings thought-provoking creativity to every project we bring him. His ideas are both fresh and useful. Additionally, in an industry that is full of egos, Mike pours from an overflowing cup of patience and kindness. He has our respect, trust and admiration.

As a small business owner, I find myself personally encouraged and challenged just about every time we spend time together. I have personally gained a wealth of wisdom about design, the creative process and critical thinking from my time with Mike.

At the start of every project, Mike always asks, “What’s the story we’re trying to tell?” The story I’m telling is that Mike Ellis is an excellent graphic design resourse for your business.
