If you have seen the show gilmore girls, I am very much like the character of Sookie. Bubbly, fun, outgoing with just a touch of the wacky. I am artsy and creative and love to keep busy.

FABRICS:
Fabrics I Like: Cute prints, polka dots, Kawaii (Sanrio, Hello Kitty and other kawaii characters), japanese imports, florals, Super Buzzy kinda stuff, retro, mod, french style (like showing paris), Japanese / Asian, Michael Miller, and Alexander Henry. I like Cottons and Flannels. Please no fleece, cartoon characters (kawaii is fine, just no dora the explorer kinda stuff) and blah colors. I am not really into country all that much although a nice floral is totally fine.

KAWAII:
Kawaii I like: (Sanrio) My favorite characters are Hello Kitty, Chococat, Charmmy Kitty, Deery Lou, Cinnamoroll, Hosikuma and Tenorikuma. I also like Sweet Coron, My Melody, Chi Chai Monchan, Keroppi, Little Twin Stars, and Usahna. (The Rest) Memorial and Sky Bear, Mamegoma, Wanroom, Nyan Nyanko, Mushrooms and Baby Animals. There’s a lot I like – these are just the ones that popped into my head. I am quite taken with Kamio animals - esp Peaceful animals, bears and cats.

Kawaii I do not like: (Sanrio) Pink Deery Lou, Batz Maru, Dokidoki Yummychums, Pekkle, Dottie Spottie, and Pochacco. (The Rest) Afro Ken, Diddl, realistic looking dogs and cats, San-x Baby Vegetables, Natto Babies, and Kogepan. For Kawaii stuff, I like getting plushies, figurines, keychains, phone charms, memo sheets, memo pads, erasers, stickers, pouches, bags, boxes, tins, cute hair accessories, etc...

10 THINGS ABOUT ME:
1.Nothing says Ella more than something glittery and sparkly. I am like a magpie.
2. I love fun socks. Not the serious ones. That is unless they are really soft. The only fun socks i don't like are the ones that look like gloves. They kinda freak me out.
3. I love being an armchair traveller - learning about new things, watching travel shows, and dreaming of far off places. But i am a horrible "real" traveller - i get homesick easily. So i compensate by collecting things from all over so i can pretend i went there.
4. I really don't eat much candy. Sometimes i will get a taste for something specific (like swedish fish or banana flavored taffy) and indulge.
5. I love to knit but i can't crochet to save my life. I took a class and tried and all my hands wanted to do was knit. Which is sad since i am obsessed with crocheted little animals (amigurumi).
6. When i was a kid my mother got her postman's route shortened because she got so much mail. I dream of the day it happens to me.
7. I am a packrat and love to collect all kinds of fun things.
8. My favorite flower are lilies of the valley. I also really love lilacs, daffodils, johnny jump ups, tiger lilies, marigolds, and bleeding hearts.
9. Birds kind of scare me. I think alot of them are pretty but i have had some bad experiences with them over the years so i am leary of the real thing.
10. I will try almost any food once - except spicy foods. I can't do spicy foods at all. And stuff most people say is mild is often still too spicy for me.
And a bonus 11 – i have a wonderful kitty named Blacky who is black and white.

I love to knit and sew. Pretty much I will try anything crafty once. The only thing I have never gotten into is scrapbooking (but I like the papers, stickers and other fun stuff). I have been known to dabble in drawing, photography, printmaking and plastic canvas. I enjoy working on my computer and doing graphic design kinda things. I also love decorating matchboxes. I am kinda obsessed with that right now.

If you have me as a partner for a swap involving something handmade, things I would especially love to get as I don’t do that myself are: crocheted things (but especially crochet amigurimi or little animals), origami or anything felted. I also love piecework, softies and bags. I would also love a knitted cupcake if you have me for a cupcake swap. Although I am up for anything handmade....

P.S. I don't have kids so please don't send things specifically for kids or babies. FYI - I don't consider kawaii things for kids. I think there is a difference between something that is cute and something that is specifically intended for children. Thanks!
