29 years old and live in big fat Beijing, where I parcel my time working for a pretend magazine and moonlighting as a teacher at Tsinghua University. I've been a half-arsed photographer for about 3 years now. Its less frustrating than writing. I have no formal training, and was taught by the internet. It doubtless shows.

I like photos that tell stories, the same way I like stories that paint pictures.

I find China endlessly fascinating and utterly mystifying.

I use a cheapo Nikon D50 and two prime lenses, 50mm and 35mm, and sometimes a Tokina 12-24mm. I am saving the pennies for a D90. I also use a Bronica ETRS medium format.

Anyone interested in a meetup in Beijing, I would be delighted for some company.
