i take photos for backwards reasons that have recently become even more clear to me: i do not make photographs to impress anyone besides myself. i take photos to prove to myself and the world that I have lived. but, it has become apparent that, with me behind the lens, i only prove that others have lived, not me, it proves that I have watched others live. which is so ironic and eerily fitting with the grand scheme of my personality.
