Who we are

Hi and thank you for checking out Eightytwenty's Flickr page. We are excited about our initial project and what it represents to so many lives. Any support is therefore greatly appreciated.

We (David and Luke) met in 2006 and have spoken many times about doing something for those less fortunate and on a recent trip to Zimbabwe saw such an opportunity – a very real way to help a community empower and sustain themselves.

Our first project is a community development project in Zimbabwe. We decided to call this project 'Give Life', as it represents an opportunity to literally give life to people. We believe that a sustainable future is achieved by providing people with the skills to empower themselves. We also understand that such a sustainable future begins with the generosity of others. It is generosity that helps to restore the dignity that is so often lost in times of poverty.

Thus begins the Eightytwenty Vision. I hope that you can help or are inspired in some way to make a difference in your world.
