”The basis for the art lies in lines and basic forms, says Einari Hyvönen (1989), who lives in
Oulu. The strong lines are typical in printmaking, which Hyvönen has been studying, and it seems to be still essential in his paintings. The term "line" seems to express something what his art is seeking and aiming. – My lines are not possible to realize as three-dimensional structures. Hyvönen’s works include art historical depth. Common features with Dali and Picasso, cubism and surrealism are obvious, but what is more crucial, Hyvönen is capable to individual expressions. In cubism figure is broken, but comprises of basic shapes and surfaces. The distinction is that the Hyvönen has his own rhythm and his own visions." I mainly use oil colors on linen, but also car and acrylic paints have been used.

I usually paint pictures which I would like to see by myself, and which I would to live in. I see visions of imaginary fairylands, where life forms are based on the lines, their rhythm and impossible perspectives. They form the vision of people, animals and landscapes. (Einari Hyvönen)
