THE MISSION

The EGBOK Mission is based upon the foundation of providing a service through service. The hospitality industry gives thousands of people in developing countries the opportunity to provide for their families while working in an environment that is conducive to the development of positive life skills.

The EGBOK Mission is dedicated to helping children and young adults receive the educational and vocational training needed to work within the service industry. The skills learned are not limited to the hospitality industry; these skills help to produce service leaders inside and outside of the hospitality industry.

My inspiration came from studying hospitality management in college at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration. Additionally, traveling to many developing countries, I have experienced many unique hospitality cultures firsthand. I have witnessed the gracious and dedicated service that makes people smile. My hope is that others can develop the essential skills to work in the hospitality industry while providing heartfelt service to others on the job and in their community.
