"That's a pretty good idea. In France, an agency is doing the same thing : influenceurs.net/"

"I went to the site-it looks like it's a hit. Good work. I don't have a banner made yet, but will work on it to post."

1pixelworth says:
"I think egaroo.com is an unique concept. It would be fair enough to charge a yearly fee to attract the right kind of audience(advertisers). Maybe for starts, the fee can be less, because I think $100 is too steep, maybe $20 for the whole year. Once you get the traffic onto egaroo then you can rework the payment model. I suggest you take a more web 2.0 approach here. Maybe include a gallery of 'best creative banners'. Give advertisers a page, so they can tell a little about their company/product/service. It a good time to look at small icons below each banner, somethin that says 'see more from this advertiser', 'I found this useful', 'rate this banner', 'refer banner to a friend', the works! What will get traffic onto your page is when you start building a community around your dotcom, the service itself may not be able to sustain itself in the long run. Way to go is web 2.0 :) Also, to sustain your costs, put ads onto your user pages(Adsense). That's my $0.06.
Cheers

Iva Tanacković says:
"Basically, a idea of your project being free sounds pretty good...but I think you should review submissions or sort them by categories, so a banner for a web design service or a photo portfolio wouldn't be listed next to some racistic or porn c**p (which shouldn't be listed anywhere, anyway).
And perhaps, sites in the same category could have a banner rotation going on?"27th September, 2006

"i testify that it is odd to see mr black w/ so many contacts and so few testimonials. this project is quite curious indeed.
mr black, he a mysterious one indeed.
