I grew up in Northern Ontario (Canada) ... played hockey in the winters & camped all summer long. The outdoors became my place of 'residence' during the spring, summer, & fall. When at home, I slept on the cot in our screen house & when camping, I slept in my own tent (vs. the trailer with the rest of the family). Every day was a new adventure biking, hiking, & canoeing with my friends & sister. When I reflect on my childhood, I can't help but smile. I thank my parents for having provided me with such a terrific place to grow-up & explore. Now-a-days, when I am able to sneak away to camp, canoe, & hike ... I feel like I am at 'home' again. I was fortunate enough to be introduced to the technical aspects of photography while studying Forensics ... On the way home from the course, I was waiting at the airport & picked up an, ‘Outdoor Photographer,’ magazine, ... and so grew the idea that I should begin combining my new introduction to photography with the experiences I treasure while, ‘exploring.’ I hope you enjoy …
