Electric Firefly Design & Creation is the brainchild of troubled genius Simon Goldstein. Working from Sydney's inner west, Simon draws inspiration from the patterns of nature that surround us in plant, animal and stellar forms. Now in tandem with renegade computer geek Josh Liebmann, Electric Firefly has reached a global audience via its website www.electricfirefly.com.au.

Completely versatile, any Electric Firefly shade can also be used as a table lamp, nightlight or centrepiece for all occasions. Flat-packing, hardwearing, and easy to clean, Electric Firefly lamps will find any number of uses in the home or commercial environment.

Electric Firefly turns waste plastic into light fantastic by sourcing recycled plastics from Australian companies that use post-industrial as well as discarded household waste, our carbon footprint is pretty small. Manufacturing recycled material uses a lot less electricity and produces about 10% as much carbon dioxide as raw material does. On top of that, there's no chlorine, mercury or cadmium used in manufacture, so the whole process (and finished product) is completely non-toxic. Additionally all of our packaging is made from recycled cardboard.
