i've been working towards a professional career in travel photography by choosing a path i believe to be my own - moving back and forth between new places and old while traveling to some of the most beautiful heavens on earth.

i'm mainly self taught, even though i minored in photography in college. studying photographer's work was never my thing and i think i did this in order to develop my own style. flickr has been in my life since October 2006 and the inspiration it gives me is constantly growing... i love it and am having a blast exchanging images with other artists. i appreciate the beautiful work out there as well as the encouraging comments.

my primary equipment is a Nikon F100 18-35mm lens - velvia slide, fuji professional color and ilford black and white film. i'm slowly making the switch to medium format (Mamiya) and i can't believe it's taken me this long to step it up. i can't put into words how this transition is inspiring me but a part of me feels like i haven't even begun yet. i do not digitally manipulate and have been working with film for 15 years. digital is fun and it's cool to have an immediate medium at times, but i still swear by fujichrome and probably always will...
